These include the elimination or reduction of the tax normally paid on capital gain and a current income-tax deduction equal to the full fair market value of the securities (deductible up to 30 percent of the donor’s adjusted gross income). * How it works
1. You transfer securities to the Friends of St. John’s Hospital. 2. The Foundation sells your securities and uses the proceeds for its programs.
