    Bev Neisler Chief Development Officer
    Bev Neisler

    Bev is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and has held leadership roles in non-profit fundraising for more than 20 years. Her primary practice has been in the areas of health care and education. Bev’s familiarity with the Springfield community, her fund development experience, and her leadership skills will be indispensable to St. John’s as we raise funds in support of new facilities, state-of-the-art technology, and leading-edge programs that continue St. John’s Mission of Inspired Care.   

    In coming to St. John’s, Bev was strongly motivated by serving the needs of a faith-based and mission-driven organization.   



    Dave-Newton Program Coordinator
    Dave Newton

    Dave Newton joined the team in October 2012. As Program Coordinator for St. John’s Children’s Hospital and Children’s Miracle Network (CMN), Dave is focused on increasing funds and awareness for CMN and St. John’s Children’s Hospital. Dave had a successful 23-year career in radio. In fact, you may recognize his radio name (Dave Daniels) from the “Dave and Dina” show on WDBR. For the past thirteen years, Dave has served as Program Director for WDBR and WQQL. His radio career positioned him successfully for the new role with CMN. Dave has been associated with the “WDBR Care for Kids” Radiothon which has raised over $575,000 for St. John’s Children’s Hospital in the past six years. As a result, Dave is no stranger to St. John’s Children’s Hospital or CMN. Dave graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire with a B.A. in communications and a minor in journalism.

    Dave is excited about the opportunity to work more closely with St. John’s, St. John’s Children’s Hospital, SIU School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, and CMN in order to give more support to the families and children that has inspired him so much over the past years.


    Peggy_Goone Development Officer
    Peggy Goone

    Peggy Goone joined the team in May of 2011.  As Development Officer for St. John’s Children’s Hospital and Children’s Miracle Network, Peggy is responsible for assisting in fundraising events, sponsor relationships and communications. She earned her B.S. from Western Illinois University.


    Jennifer_Miller Annual Gifts Officer
    Jennifer Miller

    Jen joined St. John's Hospital in January 2011. As the Annual Gifts Officer, Jen oversees the annual fund and colleague giving campaign. She earned her B.S. in marketing from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. 


    Paul_Scherschel Grants Officer
    Paul Scherschel

    Paul Scherschel joined St. John’s Hospital in 2011. As Grants Officer, Paul is responsible for researching, writing, and stewarding grant opportunities and helping hospital staff in the grant seeking process. Prior to joining the Friends of St. John’s staff, Paul has successfully overseen grant development and assisted in governmental relations.

    Paul earned his B.A. in philosophy with a concentration in pre-medicine from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois.  



    Anne-Klingborg Data Analyst/Prospect Research Coordinator
    Anne Klingborg

    Anne joined the Office for Philanthropy, Friends of St. John’s Hospital, in March of 2014 as the Data Analyst/Prospect Research Coordinator. Prior to joining the Office for Philanthropy, Anne successfully served as the Registrar for St. John’s College of Nursing.

    Anne brings her business experience from public, private, and government environments. She graduated from St. Ambrose University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and from Ashford University with a master’s degree in organizational leadership.



    Angie-McIlory Donor Stewardship Facilitator
    Angie McIlroy

    Angie joined the Friends of St. John's in 2012, bringing 15 years of specialty customer service experience. Angie is responsible for the processing and acknowledging gifts, maintaining accurate donor records and assisting with special projects and events. Angie also has six years of experience with Children's Miracle Network, helping to raise funds and awareness for St. John's Children's Hospital as a Miracle Family volunteer and spokesperson. 


    Gayla_Wingo Donor Stewardship Facilitator
    Gayla Wingo

    As donor stewardship facilitator, Gayla receives contributions made to the hospital. She is responsible for recording the gifts to the fund requested by the donor, writing acknowledgement letters and disbursing the donated funds to different areas of the hospital. Gayla says that in her time at St. John's Hospital, she has learned just how very important gifts are, especially to the patients and families.
